Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her professional career as a TV and film producer, including "The New Card Sharks", (1978) as well as "Card Sharks," (1986). She was later able to create projects like Double Dare (1976), and was a guest on numerous television shows such as E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Her most memorable TV role was that of "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992 she was in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is famous for her poetry and as a nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918-April 7, 2015). She had two daughters with her second husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 90, 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California and was raised in Walnut Creek. As an athlete, she was a part of Las Lomas High School located in Walnut Creek. She received her Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping at The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the cremated remains returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post died three months following her 71st Birthday, August 7, 2021. She was only 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was the co-star of which she passed away on July 11 the 11th of July, 2020. Though they were two completely different shows Night Court (1984), which she played the role of Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) the show, in which Post was a new character, Georgie Lahti (who, incidentally, had been employed in Washington DC before moving to a smaller area) was released in 1992.
