Magda Apanowicz is an Canadian actress from Canada. She is well-known for her roles on ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series in the role of Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress was born Maya Hartwell. Recently, she was spotted as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a time during her ninth grade. She was raised by her uncle. She went to Jelenia Gora school. She went on to attend Vancouver Film School. She first became interested in acting at the age of 10 when her father introduced her to Pulp Fiction. She began her career in 2002 by appearing on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 to 2009 she played the role as Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. In 2008, she appeared in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand as a regular in the telenovela Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. She later appeared in Hellcats. In 2012, she was an actor in Jane Espenson's second season, web-based Husbands, a romantic comedy. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film produced by Eli Roth. Although it was filmed in 2012, The Green Inferno was globally made available in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science fiction thriller film Volition. It premiered in 2020.
