Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora is a British musician and singer from the UK. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. At the age of one, her family made the decision to move to the United Kingdom. She was raised in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and then St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing in the early years of her life. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. She was chosen to audition for Eurovision: Your Country needs You as a British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However, she pulled out of the contest after only couple of episodes as she didn't feel confident enough. In 2007 Ora got her first music release , when she performed on the track of Craig David titled "Awkward" and again in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder, for which she is also featured in the music video. Ora began singing in bars in London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z The A&R team informed Roc Nation about Ora. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay-Z's music video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Ora was noticed by Jay-Z and he shrewdly signed her to Roc Nation, in which she appeared in an advertisement for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was the owner of a pub, and she began her singing career at that same pub. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub manager and she started her singing shows from the same pub. A friend of Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
