Deborah Rhea
Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. She is best known for her role as
lawyer Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been
awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Show, Miniseries,
or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC's Whitney (2011–2013) and
ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011–2014.
Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 in 1972. Her mother
was an executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an
agent with the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently
throughout her youth, living in Washington, D.C. and Arizona, as well as in
Japan. From a young age, she was inspired by her grandmother and grandfather to
study painting, drawing and architecture. Although she was interested in the
visual arts throughout her life, she also developed an interest in acting.
While in college she was introduced the world of contemporary theater. In 1994
she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio
Art. Seehorn started her career in college as an actor and was inspired by her
acting professor. She held a variety of ancillary roles within the theater
industry in D.C. to try to make her stand out. She ended up getting some major
roles in local theater productions However, she still had to take odd jobs to
help make ends meet; she took roles in various industrial short instructional
films. Then she was part of more television productions. It was common for her
to be compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very
humorous," "sarcastic, and knowledgeable" women. However, most
of the roles she played were part-time series that ended after just one or two
seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel
series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer ,
and also the love of Jimmy McGill/SaulGoodman (Bob Odenkirk).
